It also scored well in CR’s cleaning tests and comes with an auto-emptying station. Other alternatives that do robot vacuums work on carpet a great job on carpets as well as hard floors are the Ecovacs Deebot OZMO T8 Omni.

iLife V3S pro

The V3s Pro is the least expensive robot we tested, but it still turned in a top performance on suction tests. Its smart mapping, room-by-room navigation, and semi-random navigation are more efficient than other robots that compete with it. This allows it to cover more space per cleaning job. The high-performance filters keep dust and other allergens from escaping back into the air during cleaning, which is a boon for allergy sufferers.

The Roomba i4+ EVO was one of the best-performing vacuums we tested when it came to collecting food particles from our kitchen floor and removing coffee grounds from medium-pile carpet. Its performance in cleaning bare floors is average, but it excels in getting rid of debris from under furniture and corners. It did well in navigating surfaces and didn't get stuck on our power cords or any other stray objects.

Another excellent feature that the i4+ EVO has that most competing models don't has its i-series Clean Base self-emptying dock that discharges the device's internal dustbin into the large, bagged bin located in the charging station. The i4+ EVO is less expensive than the Roomba S9, which is better built, easier to maintain and delivers much better performance on carpeting with no padding and high-pile carpeting. The Roomba S9 is also compatible with Google Assistant and Alexa, making it possible to start a cleaning cycle with just your voice.

Roborock Q5+

The Q5+ robot is a budget model with numerous impressive features, including 2700Pa suction force. Its PreciSense Precision LiDAR technology creates 3D maps of rooms, which allow it to navigate and avoid obstacles. The app comes with useful functions, letting you make your own cleaning routines and no-go zones. It also allows for quick mapping, which helps it cover a vast area quickly and efficiently.

Another nice bonus is that the Roborock is fairly simple to maintain. The auto-emptying container of the Roborock can hold a lot of debris and will stay at the bottom of the charging station once it has been completely empty. This means you won't have to empty it as often as other robotic vacuums. The only issue is that the self-emptying dock Pure is made up of two pieces and requires a screwdriver to assemble, but this isn't a problem for most users.

Eufy RoboVac Max 11S

The 11S Max is a good robot vacuum cleaner for carpet washing for newbies and technophobes seeking an easy daily clean-up. It busts dust just as well as the more expensive models and also the BoostIQ feature boosts power when it detects dirtier floors. This is an excellent feature, but it also reduces the battery's lifespan and output (it's more of a distracting loudness increase than a booming blast). The model's Max mode will allow you to use it for 60 minutes instead of standard mode's 100 minutes.

It is very effective on both hard and carpets of medium-pile, and it does not have any issues with transitions or edges that are raised. It is also very silent - it does not pick up the sound of television or music when it's cleaning. It's easy to set up this robot to clean each day. Just press the button at the top of the unit to begin it and then set the hour and minute according to your preferences using the remote control.

It has a difficult time with carpets with low pile and its tiny compartment is easily clogged by hair. The brushes on the rear are smaller than many other robot vacuums. I have had them get tangled up in my long hair several times. The 11S Max is a little slower than some of its rivals, and is not as precise when mapping out a floor plan.

If you are looking for an option that is more flexible, the eufy RoboVac 11S will remove pet hair more efficiently on different surfaces than the ILIFE. It also has a longer battery life, a more advanced navigation system and lower recurring costs. It's also simpler to maintain than Shark ION Robot AV753 series, although that competitor has a better companion app and performs better on high-pile rugs. It has a larger dirt container, but it is less capable of handling large objects like cereal boxes. The bObsweep Bob Pro is similarly more efficient than the ILIFE A4s however it's built better and has lower costs for recurring use.
